My family and I have lived in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for a long time. In fact, my wife's family was given a King's grant by King George before this even was a country!

Growing up in such an agricultural community has instilled in us many wonderful qualities that we are grateful for. One of those is valuing heirloom quality tools. My mother is a lifelong quilter. My father, a lifelong camper and backpacker. Both of them taught me that even though sometimes a cheaper option exists and will suffice, many times you have to pay extra for the tools that will last.

We have brought that same ethos to Shenandoah Mercantile. These tools and goods are products that can be passed down to your children and their children. They may cost a little extra upfront, but in the long run, having the right tool will always be cheaper.
